Accessibility statement
I believe a website should be open to everyone, not only to those who find browsing easy. This page explains what has been done on the site, what hasn't yet, and how to contact me if something doesn't work for you.
The site's level of accessibility
The site was made accessible in accordance with Israeli Standard IS 5568, which is based on the WCAG 2.0 guidelines at level AA, and with the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments), 2013.
Accessibility tools on the site
Every page on the site has an accessibility button. Clicking it opens a menu that lets you:
- Switch to high contrast
- Switch to a readable font
- Make the text larger or smaller
- Stop animations and motion
- Highlight links and mark the keyboard focus
- Adjust for keyboard-only navigation
The preference you choose is saved and travels with you between pages.
What has actually been made accessible
- Full keyboard navigation, with a visible focus indicator
- A skip-to-content link at the top of every page
- A correct, hierarchical heading structure, with one main heading per page
- Alternative text for images that carry information
- Contrast ratios checked and measured in every area of the page
- Support for the system preference for reduced motion
- Language marking for foreign-language passages inside the text
Known limitations
I prefer to say this openly rather than declare full accessibility. As of the update date below, these are the things I'm still working on:
- The expanded navigation menu on large screens does not close automatically when moving between items with the keyboard
- The meeting-booking window is embedded from an external service. The Escape key inside it is captured by the external service and not by the site, so I added a close button that is always one Tab press away
- Content embedded from third parties, such as videos or external forms, may not meet the same level of accessibility
Contacting me about accessibility
If you ran into a problem, a fault, or something that simply doesn't work for you, I'd be glad if you told me. I handle accessibility requests myself.
Accessibility coordinator: Lior Zabari
Email: lior@mrmake.co.il
Phone: +972 52-877-5515
Response time: I reply to accessibility requests within 30 days at most, and usually well before that. If the request is urgent, say so in the first line and I'll handle it right away.
Site structure and technology
The site is hand-coded, and tested in the leading browsers in their current versions. Accessibility testing includes manual keyboard-navigation checks, contrast measurement in every area, and a review of the heading and tag structure.
